Joshua Bain - A&P

Josh Bain is an aviation professional with a wealth of experience spanning both military and civilian sectors. As a certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic, Josh possesses a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in aircraft maintenance and operations. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated his dedication to the field.  He earned the FAA AMT Gold award in 2023 and the Bronze award in 2024, showcasing his commitment to continued learning.

Josh's journey in aviation began with a distinguished 23-year tenure in the US Army, where he served in various capacities, including multiple tours in the Middle East and Asia. During his military service, Josh accumulated extensive experience as a maintainer and flight engineer, specializing in CH-47 aircraft. His roles involved ensuring the safety and reliability of critical aircraft components in challenging operational environments, honing his problem-solving abilities and leadership skills.

Transitioning to the civilian sector, Josh brought his wealth of knowledge and experience to bear on a diverse range of aircraft. With hands-on experience on regional jets and now GA aircraft, Josh has proven his versatility and adaptability in different aviation settings. Beyond his professional endeavors, Josh maintains a personal passion for aviation, evident in his ownership of a Cessna 150M. This connection to the skies underscores his lifelong commitment to the field and his unwavering dedication to aviation excellence.

Josh is known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit. Whether in the cockpit, on the hangar floor, or in the classroom, he approaches each task with a sense of purpose and a commitment to achieving the highest standards of safety and performance.

Originally from southern Illinois, Josh and his family moved to Texas in 2009.  When not wrenching, he enjoys working on cars with his 3 teenagers, hiking in the local area with his wife, and he also dabbles in 3D printing and computer programming/ machine learning with his 2 daughters.
