Chief of Quality Assurance

James Miller - A&P / IA

James Miller, J&G Aviation’s Chief of Quality Assurance, utilizes his keen attention to detail and knowledge of the multiple sources of guidance in the General Aviation maintenance world, to guide J&G’s standard of excellence.  James is an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) technician with an Inspection Authorization (IA) who has been a key component of establishing J&G Aviation’s brand and commitment to excellence during the past 3+ years.

James is never too busy to share his knowledge and expertise, whether it is one of our A&Ps, apprentices, or customers.  And he is the epitome of the “lifelong learner”.  You can be certain if James doesn’t have the information already in his “brain box”, he will ensure he gets it ASAP.  He also often takes the lead in our more demanding troubleshooting.

James has been a part of general aviation for the past 28 years as a pilot, aircraft owner (proud owner of a PA28R-180), A&P and IA.  Furthermore, he has served as an officer on his airport’s board of directors, so he has seen the GA scene from every angle.  Previously, he retired after a 34-year career in the telecommunications industry.  And keeping the aviation passion in the family, James’s son is now pursuing his professional aviation career as a pilot.  When James is not QA’ing and “wrenching”, he can be found flying his Piper Arrow, traveling the world, and has been known to wander to Canada to help manage their fishing stock!
